Verification Solutions driven by Consumer Permissioned Data
General Session

Beverly Ball Room
1:30 - 2:00pm

30 min
Kiran Bantu - Experian

Ajith Parampil – Experian
Experian has expanded its Verification Solutions to include Consumer Permissioned Data (CPD). Today’s digital-first consumers are challenging lenders like never before. Expectations for simplicity, speed and convenience continue to rise even as lenders transform online and mobile experiences. Consumers demand friction free interactions, especially when verifying personal information, such as income and employment. Many lenders struggle to meet consumer expectations and often rely on complex, and time-consuming manual verification which can increase costs, extend time to revenue, or worse, lead to abandonment. We offer clients a solution that provides a standardized output in the Experian Verify report format. All the Experian Verify solutions (instant hit and consumer permissioned) leverage the unique power of Experian Ascend Identity Service to match the identity of the consumer against Experian data. This innovative approach CPD technology combined with the trusted security of Experian Ascend Identity Service is an FCRA compliant product that can scale to add many data sources.

Leveraging FDX Standards to Unify Fis Around the Globe and Offer Fair Credit to Immigrants
Beverly C 1:30 - 2:00pm

30 min
Leonardo Mattiazzi - CI&T According to the CFPB, 45 million Americans do not have a credit score—the so-called "credit invisibles." This number grows when we look beyond U.S. borders. Not surprisingly, "credit invisibility" is higher among minoritized groups. The impact to economic development at both macro and micro economic development is significant. Can FDX and Open Finance help change this? Data sharing and payment information can be used to create accurate financial customer profiles that help the underbanked become eligible for more financial products and services. But if the person is "invisible" to begin with, how can this cycle be broken?

Hear about a practical use case that focuses on one subset of the "credit-invisible" population: immigrants who relocate between countries. The use case will explore how FDX APIs and Open Finance are being leveraged to create trust from past financial behavior in the home country, describing the financial health of each migrant and enabling banks and FIs to make a much better informed credit decision. It was made possible through the interoperability of standards and the ecosystem perspective advocated by FDX and its members.

Leveraging this perspective not only can bring fair access to services to the "credit invisibles", but also represents a great opportunity for FIs to tap into a huge underserved market (revenue), make a difference at scale in the world (relevance), and ultimately be a tool for true inclusion and equality (reputation).

The Role of Verifiable Credentials to Enhance User Privacy, Control, and Experience in Sharing and Use of Financial Data
General Session

Beverly Ball Room
3:15 - 3:45pm

30 min
Dinesh Katyal - Avast Verifiable credentials (VCs) are an open standard for digital credentials. They can represent information found in physical credentials, such as a passport or license, as well as new things that have no physical equivalent, such as ownership of a bank account. This session examines how this technology can revolutionize financial data sharing by creating verifiable credentials. The credentials increase the ecosystem trust and safety where shared data can be cryptographically verified and be known as belonging to the user that holds the credentials. We will cover use cases that can immediately benefit from the application of this technology. We will also make a case for standardization so the credentials can be widely deployed and used within the ecosystem.
